EARTH /// HEART /// vol. 5

The power of the collective has spoken. Vibrantly, and with an impactful rally call for true radical change. Away with greed and policing of one's culture, belief, and identity. Away with what diminishes communities. Away with life threatening structures and paradigms. Away with the divided mentality. It’s time to level up.

We can all take a stand for what is true, from earth to sky

and reimagine the world at every level.

Stand in your Power.

When you stand in your power, you give permission for humans everywhere to stand in theirs. It’s a ripple effect of knowing yourself, your worth, what you’re capable of, and the immense power you hold to create a sustainable difference. It’s a check in and a willingness to know better, then do better. It’s an opportunity to make an offering and share your gifts. It’s an invitation to not make yourself small for the comfort of others. It’s knowing your boundaries, and stating them. It’s in the power of your speech, resilience, tenacity, gratitude, and integrity. To honor what is important. And sometimes, it’s a closed mouth, with wide open ears.

Contrary to popular belief, our power doesn’t have to control, dehumanize, and invalidate another person's experience, rather it can be an effective tool in reclaiming the energy we tolerate within ourselves.

Power can be beneficial when used in accordance with kindness, acceptance, and love. Power can be revolutionary, because it is encoded with what’s possible.

How are you standing in your power?

What’s one thing you want to see change in the world, in your life?

What’s one do-able action you can take?

Collectively we have fought to not give away our power to those who aim to harm and manipulate. Individually we are invited to reflect on what power schemes we have knowingly or unknowingly played into, and how we are operating for the foreseeable  future.

Due to our conditions, this idea of power has often been adrift for many because we are taught to believe we lack it within ourselves, and furthermore, it becomes misconstrued in the limelight of societal pressures and privileges.

A take away — knowing your power is shifting the narrative around it. You know yourself better than anyone else. Stand in that truth. Make space to show up authentically. Rise to the occasion for your community. Let your power be a gentle, compassionate strength.
